Tide Watches What Are They?

Today there are so many great watches to choose from and some have some pretty advanced features but did you know that there are watches that can tell you what the current tide is in your area? That is not a typo. I said TIDE. To some people knowing what the current tide level is can really make a huge difference.

With just a glance at your wrist you can quickly know if it is high tide, low tide or anywhere in between. Some models can even tell how long it will be until the next tide change. Now some of you might be saying, Why not just go down to the water and have a look. You do not need a watch to tell you what the current tide level is but for some people determining what the current tide level is before actually going down to the water can really make a difference in whether or not they get a paycheck.

In the past you had to rely on solar lunar tables, books and newspapers to help determine the current tide level but with a little bit of modern technology everything changes. Once you get a tide watch you can leave all of those older methods of determining the tides behind. You will always know the current tide and what time the next change will happen.

Here is a perfect example. Through trial and error you have learned that the fish are running thick and biting during an outgoing tide. In fact they are at their peak for about one hour before the tide is fully low. Take one look at your watch and you will know exactly what time to go fishing! If you are like me then a watch that tells me the current tide is an extremely valuable asset.
